Batik is a traditional cloth from Indonesia
Although different islands have their own styles of batik, one of the most famous comes from Java, specifically the city of Yogyakarta. Each batik pattern carries its own meaning. Some are created by hand, while others are machine-printed. A batik maker must have patience and skill to produce a handmade piece. By contrast, machine-printed batik can be mass-produced efficiently.
Creating a handmade batik is like creating a financial plan. We believe each financial plan is unique. A plan for one family will differ from a plan for another. That’s why we take the time to listen and understand your challenges before drafting a plan with potential solutions.
While centuries ago batik might have been worn only by royal families, today that is no longer the case. We believe batik is for everyone to wear—whether Indonesian or not, whether a commoner or part of a royal family.
